The Towns County Career, Technical,
and Agricultural Education (CTAE) Department plays a
vital role in facilitating TCHS’s mission of helping all
students “achieve at their highest potential.” As noted
on the Georgia Department of Education’s CTAE page,
career education and career pathways play “a critical
role in supporting economic development in the state of
Georgia by addressing the top site selection factor—a
skilled workforce. CTAE also helps prepare students with
the knowledge, skills, and experiences needed to succeed
in a rapidly changing economy.” The TCHS CTAE Department
is committed to imbuing students with the education and
training necessary to enter the workforce, the military,
or a post-secondary institution in order to find a
high-skill, high-wage, and high-demand career.
